SOPHIE SPENCER.
Photographer, Branding Specialist, Women’s Embodiment Facilitator, Website Designer and Storyteller.
Over the past five years, I’ve held space for over 200 women (and a few incredible men), guiding them back to their bodies, supporting them in taking up space and ultimately being their most confident, bad-ass version of theirselves.
Through boudoir ceremonies, sisterhood experiences, women’s retreats, branding photoshoots and website design packages —this work isn’t just about ticking a box and doing the thing, it’s about visibility, confidence and liberation. It’s about how you hold yourself in the world and the impact that you make when you no longer allow yourself to blend in with the crowd.

The Journey as a Photographer
Photography has always been a part of me. As a little girl, I was the one dancing in front of the camera, doing all the dancer poses on the family trips and honestly, being a bit of a diva. So naturally, when I was in school, I started taking more and more photos of myself. Want a fun fact? I actually got named ‘Most Photogenic’ in the high school magazine in 2010! When I was 15, I got gifted my first ever DSLR for my birthday. Life for me in high school was really challenging, so photography became the gateway to seeing beauty in other forms. I started taking on formal photography jobs for $50 when I was in my final year of school and became pretty known for being the girl with the camera.
It felt like the only way forward, was to continue my love for photography by going and studying a Bachelor of Photography majoring in Photojournalism in 2014. I moved to Brisbane and fell madly in love with the world of social documentary and using my artistic eye to tell stories that felt deeply important to me. I photographed my grandma’s life as a widow all through university (it was gorgeous at how much I learnt throughout that time) and even started my own travel blog called ‘Adventures of Soph’ that later became a really big chapter of my life in 2018.
But it was self-portraiture that truly changed everything for me.
After a one-night stand in England whilst I was on a Uni exchange program, I began taking photos of myself. It was far from beautiful. It actually was incredibly triggering and I can still feel it in my body how that moment felt, let alone, having to share the images in front of my class later that day as it was part of a uni project. It may have taken me almost a decade to see those images and smile, but it was definitely the catalyst in my journey towards falling madly in love with myself and no longer hiding.
I began photographing women in boudoir and self love photography experiences in 2020 and it completely woke the tiger in me. I started to explore my sensuality, sexuality and dove pretty deep into shadow work, particularly around my body and past sexual traumas. Over time, I started to find this unfuckwithable energy and confidence within myself and although that has ebbed and flowed throughout the last 5 years, it’s well and truly alive and a steady in my life now.
Over the past five years, I’ve worked with over 200 women in intimate shoots, boudoir ceremonies, group photoshoots, workshops, and retreats. We’ve cried, danced, screamed, shed layers, physically and emotionally. This isn’t about posing perfectly or having the bright studio lighting (though we’ve got that too if you need). This is about feeling seen, in all your depth, softness, rage, joy, and truth.
EMBODIMENT & WOMENS WORK
I am deeply passionate about supporting ambitious women in their business to not only be in love with their brand identity and online presence, but to fall madly in love with their self in the process. This energy gets carried on through both my branding photoshoot experiences and website design packages. It’s about being empowered in your business and your life, by someone that actually sees you, not just the perfected version that the online world gets.
BRANDING & WEBSITE DESIGN
MY BACKGROUND
Bachelor of Photography | Photojournalism & Social Documentary major.
Former food photographer & travel blogger.
Mentoring emerging photographers in embodiment & emotional storytelling.
Reflector 2/4 | Gemini Sun | Pisces Rising | Capricorn Moon.
And when I’m not behind the lens or working on my business? I’m living a life of adventure and pleasure...
Two solo bike-packing trips (just me, my bike, the road) The first from Passau, Germany to Bratislava, Slovakia and then Hobart to Launceston.
Solo travelled from age 19. I am a world traveller and spent a huge chunk of my 20’s off gallivanting across the world having new experiences and getting well and truly out of my comfort zone.
Hiking, paragliding, trail running, swimming in wild places and getting really sweaty on a workout makes my heart happy.
But equally does, going out to a flashy wine bar on a hot date, swimming topless at a secluded beach, dancing my sweet little heart out at a contemporary class or diving deep into a new book with candles lit.
